I'm disappointed no one had any suggestions. Well, I will make a few of my own. One thing I have come to discover, is that I can get a better view when I position my scope a certain way. I find when I insert the tip of the explorer into the pocket, then angle out, the rest of the explorer, about 45 degrees from the tooth surface, I can see pretty well and I instrument usually in front of the camera. Mesially and distally is a different story, much harder. I usually have to insert more horizontally then vertically with the explorer. Can't seem to get into the maxillary furcations well. This is where I was hoping to get some insight. The lower molars seem easier than the maxillary molars. However, I am just using the simulator and haven't started on real patients. I know it will be a different story!
