Microvision Dental Technologies, Inc.: Directors
Bruce Beckman,
CEO & Director, MicroVision Dental Technologies, Inc.
Mr. Beckman graduated from Caltech with a degree in physics, and also attended Wharton Business School. He worked as an engineer at Baxter for many years until he tired of all the truely challenging projects being yanked-out from underneath him right when they neared completion and became really exciting, as management always wanted Mr. Beckman managing the most difficult phases of the most difficult projects.
Keen for a paradigm-breaking project that he could call his own and see through to completion, he joined Dentalview where he designed and built the DV2, even though many significant limitations were placed on him by management. Of course history proves that Mr. Beckman could rise to the challenge as the DV2 was a monumental accomplishment. Mr. Beckman represents everything positive that ever came out of Dentalview, Inc, and was actually named CEO of the company, but it was too late, as Dentalview was already near bankruptcy by that time and could not be saved by anyone.
With the termination by Dr. Jacoby of the Dentalview Agreements, Dr. Jacoby contacted Mr. Beckman and offered him the position of CEO of MVDT Inc, allowing Mr. Beckman to unleash his mastery of design, engineering and regulatory issues on this important venture. During their negotiations, Mr. Beckman was actually offered the position as Lead of the Optics Group for the new Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) under construction by Caltech. This incredible instrument will be the world's largest telescope, and being offered the Lead position was a dream-come-true for Mr. Beckman. Fortunately for MVDT Inc (and periodontal patients the world over), Mr. Beckman felt that MVDT Inc was an even more significant project than the TMT and declined Cal-Tech's incredible offer!
